The  Spin Rotation Calculator Web Site.

From this page you can:
  1. determine the maximum amount of polarization for the present configuration of the accelerator.
  2. determine the magic energies for optimizing the polarization to two or three halls.
  3. determine launch angles and polarization in the halls for any linac energy (magic or not).
The results presented here are from a program written by Bernhard Mecking, so if you have any questions about how the calculations please direct them to Bernhard.

To find the magic energies go to the  magic energies page  and select  the halls for which you want to
optimize the polarization and the number of "passes" for each of these halls.  Then click the submit
button and a table of magic energies will be returned.  On the returned page, you can then click on the
linac energy, which will take to the "spin rotation" page, listed the optimal settings at the injector.

To determine the expected polarization transmission to the halls and optimal launch angles at the injector
for the present configuration of the machine,
go to the  spin rotation  page, enter the end stations that are requesting polarization and then
click submit.  The linac energy and number of passes for each hall  should default to the
present machine configuration.

You are welcome to play with changing any of the defaults to try different configurations...
